I purchased a Tempur-pedic adjustable mattress after suffering an injury that kept me mostly bedridden because I could not sleep lying flat and was sliding during the night from my propped-up pillows and eventually developed pressure ulcers. It was very hard to find a comfortable position in which to sleep, waking frequently with pain and constantly having to readjust my position.
This egg crate pad appeared to be just what I needed. It has made it much easier to get in and out of bed and generally being more comfortable and with less pain. I'm very happy with the purchase. It arrived with no odor that others have complained about. However, the packing insert states that this material is extremely flammable, that once on fire the flames are next to impossible to extinguish, and that even if you think the fire is out, the pad will continue to smolder. I don't think this is a safe product for smokers or anyone who uses bedside candles and think this should be mentioned on the product page. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars.
Oh, someone mentioned it not being a good pad for hospital-type beds because of the tension where it folds, so I bought a queen sized pad (same size as my bed) so I can flip and turn it and hopefully not have this happen, or at least for as long as I need it. All in all, I highly recommend it.

The pad is doing the job but ... It had a very very strong smell when it arrived. We had to let it air outside for 2 days and it still had an odor. It was not as thick as I thought it would be but worth the money.

It was intended to replace the worn out foam in our sleep number, but we just added it instead, because of the way the sleep number foam is incorporated into the bed. The new pad is just a little too soft, or maybe too thick, probably because of the doubled effect. Next time I think we will be getting a slightly thinner pad. Good product so far. Sleep number had little to offer, and very high prices. I would buy from this company again.
